    Revision!

Oh revision!  How you had me worried!  Oh wait…..   That’s a lot of red.  Really the revisions aren’t all that bad.  Most pages look like this: That’s a lot less red.  I started working on revisions on Monday, even though it was a holiday and that meant the kids were home which also means a lot less time to work.  Even with a shortened work week, I’ve managed to make it all the way through chapter 12 which is well over halfway through the book.  Not too shabby.  I was certain this revision would take weeks to get through. The Big Rewrite or My Self-Imposed Exile

It’s Friday! And it’s been a month since I’ve done a Friday post or any type of post at that. I began the big rewrite of my rough draft a month ago and it has completely taken over. Friday!

Yay!  It’s Friday and day 4 of Nanowrimo!  So far so good for me this Nano but I don’t want to jinx it so I won’t put into words just how awesome and great I feel like this week has been going.  Or, you know, more words than I just did. Happy Friday!

It’s Friday!  It’s also the boy child’s birthday and party this weekend so the next couple of days are packed for me.  I have relatives that will be pulling into the driveway any minute now so this is probably going to be a very quick update/accountability post.

    Everyday Accountability

It’s the second full week of school for my Kiddos so it’s also the second full week of being able to say that I’m a full time writer.  But oh boy!  Look at all of those excuses to procrastinate! And that has been the struggle the last week and a half. While in my mind’s eye I envisioned myself sitting down to work on editing my rough draft as soon as the kid’s were off to school that first day – the reality was ugly.  I panicked with so much free time and ended up not being very productive when it came to writing.  But, and there’s always a but,…
