Rough Draft Complete!
The rough draft is done!
After working all day and writing approximately 6000 words I finally finished my rough draft last night. Just in time too since I set a goal of beginning to edit my already finished rough draft for this month. But for a few hours, I think I can just sit back and relax knowing that I worked through enough plot problems to at least finish a rough draft.
Now for posterity’s sake, I’ll share with you my word count chart. I’d type it all out but I’m going to do it the lazy way:
Yes, the word count is a little low but my prose is sparse in the rough drafts. I add in the prettiness when I edit – it’s more important for me to get the bare bones down and flesh it out in the editing phases.
You’ll notice huge chunks of days with little being written. Those days usually contained illness or holidays, sometimes both. A couple of days were days the words just didn’t want to come. But there wasn’t a single day I didn’t sit down at my computer, or with a notebook or bounce ideas off of the Engineer and at least attempt to figure out some of the problems I was having.
Now up next for me:
Editing!
