Camp Nano update and #Revpit

Holy watering, burning eyes Batman!  Wouldn’t you know it?  The first beautiful weekend and I’m afflicted with some sort of cold/allergy thing.  At least I didn’t start feeling really sick until I was done scrambling to get ready for #Revpit and submitting to it.

Which kind of leads me to Camp Nano and my abysmal performance for this camp so far. I first heard about #Revpit on Monday- I wasn’t planning on submitting; I was just going to stick to my plan of getting more beta readers for my Entangle manuscript and spending all of April and May finishing a new rough draft. After some hemming and hawing Tuesday and Wednesday morning, I threw caution to the wind and spent Wednesday and Thursday frantically going over all of the beta notes I’d gotten so far for Entagle and attempting to write my first ever query letter and synopsis.  I thought it went well but I’m pretty sure I was one of the #10queries yesterday and I realize now that my query sucked.  Hopefully my writing will be enough to make up for it.

So nothing has gotten done for Camp Nano this week and now my eyes are watering so bad trying to write just this little blog post, the thought I writing 6k+ words doesn’t seem possible today.  My fingers are crossed the eye watering and burning will get better by this afternoon.  Also the scratchy throat and only being able to breathe out of my mouth, that sucks too.

And now I go back to reclining on the couch and trying to breathe properly.

Just finished reading Bramble and Blood and I absolutely loved it! I am an avid reader but don’t usually read this particular genre. I am mostly a mystery or plain old slutty romance novels. I can not wait to read the next book in March. Sharing with all my friends. Great work, Ashley!

Thanks so much Sandra! It makes me so happy that others are enjoying the books besides just myself, lol! Seriously, thank you so much for reading Bramble and Blood. I can’t wait for you to read Birdsong and Bone.
